Passengers on the right hand side were in for a treat! After kindly asking, ATC vectored us low along the coast and right over the Golden Gate bridge. We then continued to climb after passing Alcatraz.

If you had a modicum of patience you would've realised youtube videos aren't immediately available in 4k
Why is Vr significantly higher than V1?
Because the aircraft is quite heavy. After V1 there is not enough runway left to stop, but the plane stills needs a lot more speed to lift off.

I thought that B747SP-Z5 looks like a military variant, like why she has an extra hump and some slightly different antennas. Similar to the Boeing E-4.

One my favorite planes! Pilots are earning their paychecks
from far away looks like a really long and huge jumbo 747 but when it get closer it seems like a toy 😂😂 it feels like something is off seeing it that small, looks like it’s edited

Honestly the 747SP is so underrated
alongside boeing 777 and 747 (all) this is around my favorite wing shapes
men, you can't see anything in dark, with a speed maybe over 900 km/h...
Seems like the cockpit, upon rotation for takeoff, would be in the clouds!

I saw this one evening flying over upper NY state through some pretty rough weather. It seemed like they were miniature lightning bolts all around nose and the inside of the cabin was an erie light blue.
